Sometimes couples can be very concerned about the length of their ceremony and edit elements of what they truly want for fear of having the ceremony too long and the guests becoming bored.

My job as a celebrant is to encourage couples to take the time they need and not rush such an important event in their lives.

As an experienced celebrant I can judge fairly accurately how long a ceremony is likely to take.

I am yet to officiate at a wedding where the guests have fallen asleep!

In my experience people are honoured to be a part of and bear witness to this powerful rite of passage. A wedding is a glorious celebration of life.

I believe a wedding should reflect the values and beliefs of the two people that are getting married.

Sometimes there is pressure from extended family members to make the wedding ceremony something that reflects their own values and not that of the two people getting married. It can be a difficult situation. As a celebrant I always look for common ground and a sense of inclusion whilst remaining committed to the couple's own vision of how they want their wedding day to be.

Wedding

Everyone loves a wedding.

It encompasses so many of the good things in life...love, family, community, commitment.

There is a lot of quality material to draw on in designing a wedding ceremony and as a celebrant I have an extensive range of readings and writings that I can suggest to you.
